IMC students compete in GM Challenge X championship
SDSU IMC students are participating in the national Challenge X Competition along with 16 other universities from across the US. The competition is sponsored by GM and the U.S. Department of Energy among many others and is a three year automotive engineering competition, challenging students to follow robust engineering practices modeled after GM's global vehicle development process focusing on modeling and simulation, subsystem development and systems integration. The goals of the competition are to reduce energy consumption, lower tailpipe and greenhouse gas emissions, and maintain performance and utility. In its fourth year, a marketing component has been added to the competition.

Professors Mickey and Joe Belch published an article on Integrated Marketing Communications in The International Encyclopedia of Communication, Wolfgang Donsbach, Editor. Blackwell Publishing Ltd publishers.

Professor Mickey Belch co-authors article at ISSCR Conference
Mickey Belch was co-author on a proceedings paper titled. “Attitudes of reproductive oocyte donors towards donating oocytes for embryonic stem cell research.” Research presented at the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), Cairns, Australia, 2007.

Paula Peter joins Marketing faculty
Paula Peter (PhD, Virginia Tech) joined the Marketing faculty in Fall 2007. Paula's research is in emotional intelligence and advertising decision making.
