Job Title: Student Researcher
Gateway is a professional M&A research and consulting firm located in the UTC area that specializes in strategy development, target identification/approach and deal support. Our clients are corporations and investment groups that wish to grow or invest through the acquisition of privately-held, middle market companies.Ê
The primary responsibility of a Student Researcher is to gather, analyze and accurately summarize large amounts of information on privately-held businesses. Proficient Researchers will help identify new company and industry investment ideas and support Associates and Managing Directors in client/seller correspondence. Excellent communication skills (especially business writing), attention to detail and a general understanding of business are essential. Ingenuity, computer skills and a history of dedicated work ethic are also required.
The Student Researcher position requires a minimum of 20 hours a week and is designed to last for at least 1 year. For this reason, we are specifically looking for exceptional sophomores, juniors or graduate students who can commit at least 12 months before degree completion. Compensation is $10/hour with the potential to advance to a full time position upon graduation.
